NASHVILLE — East Nashville defeated Mt. Pleasant 68–0 Friday in the Class 2A first round. The Tigers could not match that scoreboard pressure and finished without a point.

The night still produced a downfield moment worth recording. On the FPSN broadcast, Kale Scott found Junior Nelson while under pressure. It was a completion, not a scoring play.

Scott’s connection with Nelson stood as a bright spot in a difficult finish. Mt. Pleasant could not turn the play into points, and East Nashville closed the game with the 68–0 result.
